Town Center Fire Station #7 & Fire Administration Headquarters.

This new two-story, 26,000 SF fire station and fire administration building is located in the heart of the city. The first floor serves as the Fire + EMS Station and includes a large dining and kitchen area, a day room with storage, 14 individual sleep rooms, six individual bath/shower rooms, SCBA room, EMS storage room, work room, laundry room, decontamination room, and a fitness room. It also includes offices, a watch/radio room, and a lobby/reception area. The second floor is the Fire Administration Headquarters. It includes fire/EMS administrative offices, a conference room, storage, kitchenettee, and reception area. RRMM designed the station to allow for future growth, including an additional apparatus bay and sleeping rooms.
This four-bay station was required to achieve LEED certification, but was actually able to obtain the higher LEED Silver certification without any additional expense to the City. Sustainable design features include a geothermal mechanical system, LED lighting, low water-use plumbing fixtures, bio-retention stormwater collection, and high-performance building envelope.
