Suffolk – Joint Coalition Warfare Cyber Team Relocation.
Suffolk, Virginia
This design-build project renovated a 115,894 SF, two-story facility to support the Joint Coalition Warfare Suffolk Cyber Team. The primary use of the J-9 facility includes office space, communication spaces and support spaces (storage, small conference rooms, and MEP spaces). Portions of the work included creating secure spaces required to meet DCID SCIF regulations. The renovation also included the replacement of the HVAC system for the 62,835 SF one-story portion of the building. Most of the interior finishes were also updated as part of the overall renovation.
The building implemented a barrier-free, ADA accessible design. The project was not required to achieve LEED certification, however, as part of RRMM’s best practices, sustainable design concepts were incorporated to the extent allowed by the project budget.
