Sully Community Center is a 38,000 SF, one-story building in Chantilly, Virginia. The center includes a double gymnasium, three large multi-purpose rooms, an exercise room, game room, arts and crafts room, a commercial kitchen, and office space. It also includes a 3,000 SF health and wellness clinic to address the needs of underserved residents is Fairfax County. Parking for 180 cars in included on site, in addition to a community garden and advanced stormwater management features.
The project is awaiting LEED Gold certification. It aims to achieve a net-zero energy status by deploying a large solar array on the standing metal sloped roofs and the gym roof. This array is designed to generate all of the electrical power needs of the entire facility.
